Last September and October (2010) I got the opportunity to work on an independent feature film, Red Kingdom Rising, shot on s16mm. We’ve shot everything on the ARRI SR-3 with two different kinds of stock by Kodak (250D and 500T). This was the first time I got to work as a 2nd Assistant Camera (Clapper Loader) on a s16mm shoot. I have learned a lot from this shoot, from loading a film magazine to filming a frame leader.

PS: A quick thank you to Richard, Gareth and Felix (I couldn’t have done this shoot without you)

In March 2009 I got the opportunity to work as a Camera Trainee on a commercial for The Co-operative Food, shot over two days in Wilmslow, Cheshire. This was also the first time I got to work on a 35mm film shoot. I have learnt many new things: how to work as a 2nd Assistant Camera on a 35mm shoot (how to load a film magazine, how to write down camera notes), how the camera (Arriflex 435) works, and so much more. It was a great experience and I have learnt so much from it.

A music video I produced and edited for a Surrey-based band called The Stanley Blacks. Aziz Vora (director) asked if I could help him producing his music video. We’ve filmed it on a Sunday at Jabez Clegg in Manchester. On the day of the shoot I also worked in the camera department. It was shot on RED ONE.

bledarbujupi:

On set shooting on the new Sony F3 camera for my new short film ‘W.T. The Forest - Dir. B.Bujupi’

I got asked by Bledar Bujupi (director) to co-produce his second short film, The Forest (working title). Also, I got asked to work as a 1st Assistant Camera (Focus Puller).

I was really excited about this project because it was the first time I got to work with the Sony PMW-F3.
